Before making a stroke at their ball in a bunker, a player who is blind may, without penalty, touch sand in the bunker with a club:But in doing so, the player must not improve the lie of the ball more than would result from lightly grounding the club.

The player remains subject to the prohibitions in Rule 12.2b(1) on deliberately touching the sand in the bunker to test the condition of the sand and touching the sand with a club in making a practice swing.
